Our guide, Lilith, was the absolute MVP. She didn’t just give us a history lesson; she gave us the neighborhood's deep, colorful secrets. Her stories were so rich with passion and celebration that I half expected a spontaneous parade to break out or a 19th-century painter to offer us a glass of absinthe.
